To bring an exceptional CFBB U18 season to a close, players and staff travelled to Paris for an end-of-season weekend filled with basketball, team spirit, and unforgettable shared moments.
Created by the Luxembourg Basketball Federation with the objective of supporting clubs in the development and acceleration of their young players’ training process, the CFBB U18 project enjoyed a highly successful first year. This inaugural season exceeded many expectations, both on and off the court, and this trip was a perfect way to celebrate together all the work and progress achieved throughout the year.
The group departed from Luxembourg on Saturday morning in two minibuses heading to Paris. The first event of the weekend was a friendly game against the youth academy team of Union Poissy-Le Chesnay Versailles 78 at the Marcel Cerdan gymnasium. In a great atmosphere, our players delivered an excellent performance and secured a win in a very competitive and valuable game against a quality opponent.
After the game, the team headed to the hotel for check-in before making their way to the Adidas Arena to attend the final regular season game of the French first division championship between Paris Basketball and ASVEL, two of the top French teams also competing in the EuroLeague. It was an outstanding evening in a fantastic arena, giving the players the opportunity to experience high-level basketball up close and to share another special moment together to end the season.
The following morning, after breakfast, the group began the journey back to Luxembourg, making one final symbolic stop at the Eiffel Tower to take a team picture that will undoubtedly remain a wonderful memory for everyone involved.
This trip was the perfect conclusion to a memorable season for the CFBB U18 project. The players enjoyed an enriching experience and shared many great moments together, strengthening the team spirit and the bonds created throughout the year.
The Federation would like to warmly thank everyone who contributed to the success of the project and supported the team throughout the season. We also warmly welcome the new players who will join the program next season and wish the very best of luck to the players leaving the project as they move on to new challenges in the next stage of their journey.
