Amicale wins top game against Basket Esch

On Saturday evening, the LBBL restarted with the 15th game day in the men’s LBBL and the 14th game day in the women’s LBBL.

MEN:
Musel Pikes – AS Zolwer 70:60
– The Pikes used a strong third quarter (24:8) to create a lead
– The Pikes improve to 6:9 and stay in a decent position in the play-off race while Zolwer’s record falls to 2:13

Sparta Bertrange – US Heffingen 102:85
– First game for Heffingen’s new coach Juan Manuel Nardini and professional player Cory Johnson
– Lavone Holland led Sparta with 29 points, Max Logelin added 19
– Sparta has a 5:10 record, Heffingen remains last in the standings (1:14)

T71 Dudelange – Gréngewald Hueschtert 87:73
– Jimmie Taylor (26 points) and Joé Kalmes (23) lead Dudelange to a win at home
– T71 improves to 11:4 while Gréngewald has a 5:10 record after this game

Résidence Walfer – AB Contern 93:111
– First game for Henry Pwono with his new team, Résidence played without Kreps and Robert-Francois
– Contern was on fire from behind the arc and scored a season high in points
– Résidence has a 10:5 record wile Contern improves to 7:8

Amicale Steinsel – Basket Esch 95:80
– Alex Reese (22) and Jonas Theisen (21) led Amicale
– Clancy Rugg had to leave the game with an injury before the break
– Amicale stays on top of the standings (13:2) while Esch has a 11:4 record after this game

WOMEN:
T71 Dudelange – Gréngewald Hueschtert 53:81
– First game for Lauren Van Kleunen (she replaces Vuckovic for Gréngewald), she scored 18 points
– T71 without Winton, Geniets and Mreches, Gréngewald without Lisy Hetting and the Schreiner twins
– The guests led 30:12 after thei first quarter, Faith Ehi Etute scored all 12 points for her team in the first 10 minutes, she finished the game with 24 points and 20 rebounds
– It was the first loss of the season for T71 (9:1), Gréngewald improves to 10:2 behind a game-high 36 points by Dejza James and a near triple-double by Samantha Logic (14/12/9)

– Lele Grissett made her debut for Zolwer and had 24 points and 23 rebounds
– Zolwer earns its first win of the season (1:12), the Musel Pikes have a 4:10 record after this game

Amicale Steinsel – Basket Esch 72:64
-Esmeralda Skrijelj scored 11 points and added 18 rebounds and 7 assists, Julie Mangen scored 13 points for Steinsel
– Tatsiana Likhtarovich scored a game-high 31 points
– Amicale improves its record to 7:6, Esch has a 4:8 record after this game

Résidence Walfer – AB Contern 84:70
– Amanda Cahill posted a triple-double with 27 points, 13 rebounda and 10 assists
– Résidence improves its record to 9:4, Contern’s record drops to 10:3
