Bascharage beats Mamer by 1 point / Mondorf remains unbeaten

A complete game day was played in the men’s National 2 on Saturday evening.

In a close game, the Hedgehogs Bascharage won 71:70 against Mambra Mamer. Christopher Barton scored 22 points, Tyrell Sturdivant added 21 and Vincent Welter had 10 points to secure the 3rd victory in 5 games for the team of coach Daniel Brandao. Mamer’s record drops to 3:2 with this loss, Billy McDaniel did not play on Saturday, Dakota Zinser (who made the thrilling game winning shot in the cup competition against Résidence during the week) led his team with 31 points, Lazar Lukic (19) and Sam Ferreira (15) scored in double digits as well.

The Kordall Steelers improve to 4:1 with a 105:90 win on the road against Black Star Mersch. Scott Spencer (30 points), Isayah Johnson (25), Alan Bedirhanoglu (22) and Selmin Muric (11) were the main scorers, the guests outrebounded Mersch 46:24. Tylik Evans led Black Star with 30 points, the team has a balanced record of 3:3 after this game.

Avanti Mondorf stays unbeaten as the only team in the league (5:0). Coach Philip Dejworek and his team were able to grab a 83:67 home win over Racing Luxembourg. Blake Seits led his team with 34 points, he hit 7 shots from behind the arc, Jalen Green (21) and Steve Kuhlmann (12) scored in double digits as well. Racing Luxembourg has a 2:4 record after 6 games.

BC Mess earned a second win of the season (2:4) with a 85:77 win on the road against the Black Frogs Schieren. Marcus Neal and Antunio Bivins both scored 31 points to lead their team. Walter Williams led Schieren with 22 points, the promoted team has a 1:4 record in the standings.
