Big wins for Heffingen and Mersch

Game day 14 was played in the men’s National 2 on Saturday evening.

This game day featured 2 key games. League favorite US Heffingen was able to grab a 79:69 victory on the road against the Black Frogs Schieren. Heffingen had a strong fourth quarter to win the game, Jonathan Janssen led his team with 31 points. Both teams are now tied in the standings with 22 points, but Heffingen has the strongest record of the league (10:2) while Schieren is tied with Black Star in second place.

Black Star Mersch was able to turn the game around in the fourth quarter against Avanti Mondorf, the guests won the quarter 24:13 and finally won a close game 73:70. Jeremiah Culver scored 33 points while Sam Ferreira made his debut for the team, he scored 4 points. This was a very important game, Mersch jumps to the second place in the newest standings, tied with Schieren.

Racing Luxembourg clearly won 80:64 in Bascharage. 4 Racing-players scored in double digits while Eddie Davis led his team with 20 points. The team from the capital is now tied with Mondorf and Zolwer on places 4-6.
