Black Star hands Mamer first loss / Mondorf remains unbeaten

The 5th game day was played in the men’s National 2 this weekend.

The Kordall Steelers imrpove their record to 3:1 with their 3rd straight win on Saturday evening. The team of coach Tara Booker won 92:68 aginst Wiltz, the record of the guests drops to 1:4. Spencer Scott scored 31 poins to lead his team to this victory as Kordall decided the game with a strong second half. Selmin Muric added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts.

Avanti Mondorf stays unbeaten in the 2022/23 season. The team of coach Philip Dejworek earned a convincing 102:74 win on the road over BC Mess. Jalen Green and Blake seits both scored 31 points to lead Mondorf in this victory as a total of 10 players scored points for the guests. With a 4:0 record, Mondorf underlines its ambitions to start the season, BC Mess’ record drops to 1:4 after 5 games.

Racing Luxembourg earned the second victory in 5 games (2:3) by beating the Hedgehogs Bascharage 69:52. Louis Soragna led his team with 20 points, Racing overcame 27 points and 20 rebounds by Tyrell Sturdivant. A combined 9 points was scored by Bascharage’s JICL players in this game, the team was 2/17 from behind the arc. Bascharage has a balanced record (2:2) after this game.

On Sunday, Black Star Mersch was able to hand Mambra Mamer their first loss of the season in a 100:91 victory. Tylik Evans scored a new league season high 47 points on 57% shooting to lead his team to this road victory, he also added 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Sam Ferreira led Mamer with 26 points. Mamer has a 3:1 record after this game while Black Star improves to 3:2.
