Both teams from Dudelange are unbeaten before game day 6

The 6th game day is scheduled in the women’s and men’s LBBL this weekend. In both the women’s and men’s league, the only remaining unbeaten team is T71 Dudelange.

The winning streak of both teams is unlikely to end this Sunday because they play in Zolwer. The teams from Zolwer are winless in both leagues so far in 2022/23. The standings in the men’s league already show a 2-point separation between the 5th place and the 6th place. However, this gap can not be considered relevant at this early point of the season. It will now be interesting to see which teams can stay on top of the standings and which teams will drop to the lower seeds and lose contact to the play-off spots over the upcoming weeks. Basket Esch is taking a 4-game winning streak into its home game against Résidence Walfer, a very interesting matchup between two of the favorites of the league. Another key game will be played in Contern where the guests from Gréngewald have the chance to take a 2-point lead over the opponent with a road win. Arantia is looking to snap a a 3-game losing streak at home against the Musel Pikes, a team that is trying to avoid to get stuck at the bottom of the standings.

The men’s schedule:
Saturday:
20:00 US Heffingen – Etzella Ettelbruck
20:00 Arantia Larochette – Musel Pikes
20:30 Basket Esch – Résidence Walfer
20:30 AB Contern – Gréngewald Hueschtert
20:30 Sparta Bertrange – Amicale Steinsel
Sunday:
18:00 AS Zolwer – T71 Dudelange

Standings in the men’s league:

In the women’s league, T71 managed to win the top game on Wednesday evening against Gréngewald ( –> Mreches leads T71 to a win over Gréngewald ). On Sunday, the champs from Dudelange will probably have an easy task on the road in Zolwer before the start of their EuroCup games next week. Gréngewald can fully concentrate on the first game in the EuroCup as the team of coach Frnacois Manti is not playing this weekend.
After a strong start into the season, AB Contern is entering the game against Wiltz as the clear favorite. Sparta Bertrange is looking to graba home victory against the Musel Pikes while Basket Esch and Résidence Walfer are looking to improve their negative record and climb the standings.

The women’s schedule:
Saturday:
18:30 AB Contern – Sangliers Wiltz
18:30 Sparta Bertrange – Musel Pikes
18:30 Basket Esch – Résidence Walfer

Sunday:
15:15 Etzella Ettelbruck – Amicale Steinsel
15:30 AS Zolwer – T71 Dudelange
