Final decisions: Which team will promote and relegate?

The final decisions will fall this weekend on the last game day in the men’s LBBL play-down and the National 2 play-offs.

In the LBBL play-down, 2 games are scheduled for Saturday:
18:30 Musel Pikes – AS Zolwer
18:30 US Heffingen – Gréngewald Hueschtert

The standings:
Musel Pikes – 38 points
Gréngewald Hueschtert – 36
AS Zolwer – 35
US Heffingen – 34

–> The Musel Pikes are already safe and will play in the LBBL next season
–> US Heffingen relegated to the National 2 a few weeks ago
–> Gréngewald and Zolwer will compete for the second place which will a team allow to play a promotion/reegation series against the third best team from the National 2, either Avanti Mondorf or Mambra Mamer (see below)
–> Gréngewald will clinch second place with a win in Heffingen or a loss by Zolwer
–> Zolwer needs a victory against the Musel Pikes and a loss by Gréngewald to take the second place (Zolwer earns the direct comparison against Gréngewald)

In the National 2 play-offs, 3 games are scheduled this Saturday:
18:30 Kordall Steelers – Avanti Mondorf
18:30 Black Star Mersch – Mambra Mamer
18:30 Hedgehogs Bascharage – Racing Luxembourg

The standings:
Kordall Steelers – 45 points
Mambra Mamer (16:9) – 41 points (points difference +65)
Avanti Mondorf (16:9) – 41 points ( points difference +49)
Racing Luxembourg (14:11) – 39 points
Black Star Mersch (13:12) – 38 points
Hedgehogs Bascharage (12:13) – 37 points

–> The Kordall Steelers have promoted to the LBBL already a few weeks ago
–> Mondorf and Mamer will compete for the direct promotion spot (second place) and the relegations-series spot against either Gréngewald or Zolwer (third place)
–> Mondorf and Mamer are tied in points and there was no decision in the direct comparison! This means that, if both teams will remain tied in points after the final game day, their +/+ (points difference) in the play-offs will decide who takes the second place. At this moment, Mamer has a +/- of +65 while Mondorf has a +/- of +49 so that both teams will definitely look to win their games as high as possible this weekend.
–> The game between Bascharage and Racing has no influence on the promotion race
