Friday recap in the men’s LBBL / Overtime victory for Sparta

A complete game-day was played in the men’s LBBL on Friday.

Telstar – Sparta 102:111 (after OT)
– Telstar started the game with 9 « 3-pointers » in the first quarter and 13 in the first half, they led 57:52 at the break.
– Goebel had a chance to win in regulation but his 3-pointer missed and the game went into OT tied at 97:97
– Sparta started OT with a 10:0 run and finally won by 9 points
– Telstar hit an incredible amount of 21 3-point-shots, Sparta had 15 made shots from outside, a combined 36 for the game
– Sparta improves to 5:1 and has won 5 straight games while Telstar drops to 2:4 and has lost 4 straight games

Musel Pikes – Etzella 70:74
– First game of new professional player Chris Flemmings for the Musel Pikes
– Both Gutenkauf-brothers missed the game for Etzella
– Williams (28 points) led the guests while Wolff added another double-double (10/13)
– The Musel Pikes are the only winless team after this game day (0:6), Etzella improves to 5:1

Basket Esch – Heffingen 71:77
– The guests turned the game around in the second half
– Heffingen had 4 players with 13+ points
– Heffingen stays on top of the standings with a 5:1 record, Esch drops to 4:2 on the season

Contern – Résidence 103:105
– Résidence scored 29 points in quarter 1 and quarter 2 and led 58:47 at the break
– In a wild finish, Wolzfeld had a chance to win the game (video) but just missed
– Fletcher and Stein led the guests with 30 points, 10 players in scored in double digits in this game
– Résidence improves to 5:1 while Contern drops to 2:4

T71 – Arantia 67:84
– Arantia had a strong start and took a 15+ point lead in the first minutes
-Johnson (30 points) and Sturdivant (28) were unstoppable, the guests also won the rebounding battle 49:35
– Arantia improves to 4:2 while T71 drops to 2:4 in the standings

Amicale – Racing 97:72
– first game of new professional player Jarvis Williams for Amicale
– first win of the season for Amicale, both teams have a 1:5 record after this game
– Bob Melcher led all scorers with 29 points, Amicale made 14 « 3-pointers »
