In the men’s play-down, the Musel Pikes and the Kordall Steelers are in a duell for places 2 and 3 in the group, but they are playing on different courts on Saturday evening. While the Musel Pikes play on the road in Mamer, Kordall hosts Gréngewald. Finishing on place 2 will give a team a chance to compete for a spot in the LBBL in a best-of-3 promotion/relegation series (Barrage). One of both teams will join Gréngewald Hueschtert as the second team to relegate to the National 2.

20:30 Mambra Mamer – Musel Pikes
20:30 Kordall Steeelers – Gréngewald Hueschtert

Possibilities:
–> The Musel Pikes reach the « Barrage » series with a victory
–> Kordall reaches the « Barrage » with a victory AND a loss by the Musel Pikes at the same time

The standings after 5 of 6 rounds:

TEAM RECORD POINTS
Mambra Mamer 11:16 38
Musel Pikes 9:18 36
Kordall Steelers 8:19 35
Gréngewald Hueschtert 6:21 33

In the National 2 play-offs, Avanti Mondorf has the chance to become the second promoted team with a victory or a loss by less than 22 points on the road in Mersch, an excellent situation for the team of coach Bob Adam. In order to reach the « Barrage », Black Star needs to beat Mondorf and needs Schieren to lose to Heffingen at the same time. Schieren can reach the « Barrage » with a victory against Heffingen or with a loss by Mersch.

In a possible 3-team-tie between Mondorf, Schieren and Black Star after 10 rounds, Mondorf would take second place and promote, Schieren would take the third place and play the « Barrage » and Mersch would take the fourth place and be eliminated.
