Game day 2 on Saturday and Sunday

The second game day in the women’s and men’s LBBL will be played this weekend with 9 games on Saturday and 1 game on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday:
17:15 Etzella Ettelbruck – AB Contern

After a strong performance in their LBBL debut, Mambra Mamer has the chance to show its strength against an established LBBL team in Larochette. the winner of this game will remain unbeaten. The top game of the week will be played in Steinsel where Amicale and Résidence meet for a derby-showdown. Both teams were able to win their first game of the season, Amicale on last second buzzer beater in Esch and Résidence in a rout against Etzella at home. League champion Esch was in shock last weekend after a dramatic loss and will have the chance to show a reaction on the road against the promoted team Kordall.
On Sunday, Etzella and Contern face some pressure already as both teams lost their opening game of the season. Etzella has added Jimmie Taylor, former player of T71, this week, he will reinfoece the team already this Sunday.

19:00 Les Sangliers Wiltz – Basket Esch

In the women’s LBBL, league champion Gréngewald Hueschtert will start its season after the team of coach Francois Manti was free on the first game day. They welcome the Musel Pikes at Oberanven, a team that lost the opening game against Sparta relatively clear. The top game will be played in Bertrange where Sparta hosts vice-champion T71 Dudelange, both teams have started the season with a victory. Amicale is looking for its second straight win this season against Zolwer. AB Contern does not play this weekend.
