Gréngewald beats T71 93:91 and secures first place

On Saturday evening, the first game day of the women’s LBBL play-offs was played.

Gréngewald Hueschtert – T71 Dudelange 93:91
– Gréngewald remains unbeaten and secures the first place in the standings which gives the team home-court advantage in the semi finals and in the finals
– In a close game, T71 had one last chance to tie or win the game, Shalonda Winton missed a layup on an inbounds play (video)
– Samantha Logic (28 points, 12 assists), Lauren VanKleunen (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Amanda Cahill (24 points) all had high scoring games for the Greens, Shalonda Winton scored 28 points for Dudelange

AB Contern – Les Sangliers Wiltz 66:58
– Contern takes a 3-point lead over Wiltz in the standings
– Karly Murphy led Contern with 22 points and 17 rebounds
– Wiltz played all 40 minutes with 5 players

Sparta Bertrange – Amicale Steinsel 107:76
– Sparta draws even with Dudelange in the standings in second place, Amicale
– After the game was balanced through 3 quarters, Sparta won the final quarter 44:8, Martha Burse scored 48 points to lead her team
