Heffingen and Esch stay unbeaten

A complete game-day was played in the women’s and men’s LBBL on Sunday.

In the women’s LBBL, T71 was able to grab a convincing 77:47 win against Gréngewald behind Mandy Geniets’ 21 points, all 5 starters scored 10+ points for the champs. After a slow start into the game, the Musel Pikes reacted and finally beat Résidence 68:55, Bridget Yoerger scored 15 points and 14 rebounds. Sparta was able to grab a 80:67 win over Etzella. Schmidt (30) and Henket (26) combined for 56 points. Herlihy led Contern to a 75:67 victory with 40 points to overcome Skrijelj’s 24 for Steinsel and Basket Esch won 73:58 in Wiltz.

In the men’s LBBL, Heffingen and Basket Esch stay unbeaten. While Esch had a convincing 108:59 victory in Larochette, Heffingen was able to beat Amicale 79:46. Amicale has not won a game so far and they have not scored 50 points in 2 consecutive games. Telstar Hesper won 99:97 on a game-winning buzzer beater by Bryan Jefferson (video), it was the second victory of the season for Telstar. Sparta won 91:73 against the Musel Pikes behind Pwono’s big game (30 points, 12 rebounds). Criston Mallory (29 points) led Etzella to a 93:81 win over Racing while Alex Stein had a monster game (43 points) to lead Résidence past T71.
