Heffingen promotes to the LBBL / Racing beats Zolwer 112:111

BBC US Heffingen is the first team that promotes to the LBBL. The team of coach Alex Pires was able to beat the Black Frogs Schieren on Saturday evening (77:58), and because Avanti Mondorf won its game against Black Star Mersch at the same time (90:68), Heffingen has clinched a top to spot after only 5 rounds in the play-offs.

In Heffingen’s victory on Saturday, Jonathan Janssen led his team with 26 points, Max Schmit added 14 points and 8 assists. Mondorf was sparked by Jackson Meshanic’s monster game (31 points, 22 rebounds), Luke Harper (26 points) and Jake Ross (18) added high scoring games. Mondorf is now only 1 point behind Schieren and Mersch with 5 remaining game days.

Heffingen started the season as the league favorite and confirmed this role from the start.

On Sunday, Racing Luxembourg was able to beat AS Zolwer 112:111 after overtime. Flenard Whitfield led Racing with 46 points, Tylik Evans had a game-high 47 points in this high-scoring shoot out.
