Kordall, Mamer and Mondorf earn clear victories

A full game day was played in the men’s National 2 this weekend.

Leader Kordall Steelers (7:1) improved its record to 7 wins and 1 loss by beating Black Frogs Schieren (1:7) 107:72. Scott Spencer led his team with 42 points as the hosts decided this game early.

Avanti Mondorf (6:2), currently second in the league standings, earned a clear victory against Wiltz (1:7) on the road. The team of coach Philip Dejworek trailed 14:20 after the first quarter, but dominated the rest of the game to earn a 101:74 win after 40 minutes. Blake Seits scored a personal and team season-high 41 points to lead Mondorf on the road. Mondorf hit 14/28 threes in this blowout victory.

The game between Black Star Mersch (5:3) and the Hedgehogs Bascharage (4:4) was very intense and ended 84:79 in favor of the hosts. The game was very important as Mersch stays ahead of the opponent in the standings. Tylik Evans scored a game-high 33 points. A new NON-JICL player, José Diogo Segundo Dias, made his debut for the guests, he scored 14 points in 36 minutes.

On Sunday, Mambra Mamer (6:2) stormed past BC Mess (2:6), the final score was 103:58. Billy McDaniel (25), Dakota Zinser (20), Sam Ferreira (17), Lazar Lukic (15) and Melvin Meyers (10) scored in double digits for the hosts.

Racing Luxembourg (4:4) did not play this weekend.
