LBBL finals continue on Wednesday

The finals in the Luxembourg Basketball League will continue with game 2 on Wednesday evening.

Women:
19:30 Gréngewald Hueschtert – T71 Dudelange

Men:
20:15 Basket Esch – Amicale Steinsel

After a dominating performance in game 1, Gréngewald has a big chance to take a 2:0 lead in front of their home fans. The team of coach Francois Manti is in best possible shape at the right moment. A big concern for T71 is the health. Catherine Mreches is out since a long time, Mandy Geniets was not ready to play in game 1 and Nadia Mossong had to leave the first game after only 2 minutes. If Dudelange wants to compete with the opponent, they need their key players to become healthy.

Basket Esch was able to steal a game on the road to open the finals as the team of coach Franck Mériguet turned the game around in the second quarter and came up with a close victory in Steinsel. Esch dominated the rebound in the first meeting (47:38) and with their fans as a support in their home gym, they are looking for a second win which would give them a chance to win the finals on Sunday in Steinsel. Champion Amicale is definitely under pressure, a situation they have not had so far in this year’s play-offs.
