On Monday, our women’s national team played the first game of the games of the small States of Europe. Against Cyprus, our national team was able to grab a win in a very intense game, the final score was 78:70.
Our national team had a good start into the game and led by 6 points (23:17) after the first quarter. However, Luxembourg trailed 36:42 at the break after the opponent went on a big run in the second quarter. In a thrilling second half, Luxembourg managed to make big plays in the end and finally won the game by 8 points.
Amanda Cahill (23 points), Anne Simon (17), Esmeralda Skrijelj (13) and Ehi Etute (12) scored in double digits for team Luxembourg.
