Luxembourg loses close game against Kosovo 80:84

Our national team played its second game of the pre-qualification tournament for the World Cup 2023 against Kosovo on Sunday-evening.

In front of a crowded Coque with a great atmosphere, Luxembourg lost 80:84 in the end. It was a close game until the final buzzer. Kosovo collected big offensive rebounds in the final minutes and Hajrizi made 4 key free-throws to put them up 4 points twice with a few seconds remaining.

Clancy Rugg had a game-high 30 points, while Vujakovic added 18 points and Grün added 10. Luxembourg played a good game overall and had a good chance of winning this game.

On Thursday, Luxembourg lost the first game in Slovakia 65:73. The next qualification games will be in November (2020).
