Mamer relegates / Showdown between Pikes and Racing on Saturday

On Wednesday evening, game day 5 out of 6 was on the schedule in the men’s play-down.

Racing Luxembourg – AB Contern 100:74
– Racing stays on top of the standings
– In the absence of pro-player Temple, Whitfield scored 22 points for the hosts

Musel Pikes – Mambra Mamer 87:74
– Mamer relegates to the National 2
– Jaylen Key scored 26 points while Tom Welter added 17 points as the Pikes pulled away in the third quarter and made 15 threes as a team

–> On Saturday, the Musel Pikes and Racing Luxembourg will fight for the first place in the group in a showdown on the final game day. Racing needs to win or lose by only one point while the Pikes need a victory by more than 2 points. Their first meeting ended with a 93:91 victory by Racing. One team will play in the « Barrage » series against either Gréngewald Hueschtert or US Heffingen.
