Mamer wins thriller against Kordall behind Zinser’s 42 points

The third game day was played in the men’s National 2 this weekend.

The Hedgehogs Bascharage (1:1 record) earned their first win of the season in a close game on the road against the Black Frogs Schieren (1:2), the final score was 68:67. Christopher Barton scored a team-high 31 points and Philippe Kemp added 14 points of the bench for the guests. Bascharage knocked down 12 « threes » to secure the win. While Williams (injured) was not available once again for Schieren, Sturdivant (no license) missed another game for Bascharage.

BC Mess managed to get a hard fought win over Black Star Mersch, both teams have the same record (1:2) after this game. In the 91:87 win, Marcus Neal scored 36 points and Nathaniel Sheppard added 32 to secure the win for the home team.

After starting the season with 2 losses, Racing Luxembourg (1:2) reacted with a clear home win over Wiltz (0:3), the final score was 101:79. 5 Racing-players scored in double digits as Matt Weir led his team with 24 points. Racing overcame a game-high 34 points by Anthony Jones.

On Sunday, Mambra Mamer won a thriller against the Kordall Steelers. Dakota Zinser scored 42 points to lead his team to a 106:102 victory. Billy McDaniel (24), Sam Ferreira (16) and Lazar Lukic (16) had boig scoring games as well. Both teams received 30+ free-throws. Mamer made 23-30 and Kordall 22 out of 33 free throws. Mamer stays unbeaten (2:0) while the Steelers have lost for the first time this season (2:1).
