Black Frogs Schieren won a close road game in Mersch, 72-69, between the teams now ranked second and third in W-Nationale 2. Coach Diogo Jesus Lopes' side also stretched its run to five straight wins and split the season series 1-1 after the heavy loss in the first meeting.

Schieren set the tone early through its outside scoring. Eve Weber (Season PPG: 13.75) and Melissa Genoud (Season PPG: 7.63) helped FRO build a 24-15 first-quarter lead, and the visitors reached their biggest margin at 41-29 in the second period. Black Star answered before halftime with an important 8-0 run: Jessie Kettel (Season PPG: 7.41) hit two straight threes and cut the gap to 41-37.

That momentum continued after the break for Lance Legister's team. Kettel buried two more threes early in the third, Sara Dumont (Season PPG: 6.71) attacked efficiently around the basket, and Lynn Schreiner (Season PPG: 12.69) put BSM in front 59-57 at the end of the quarter. Dumont produced 9 points in that third period.

The fourth quarter stayed tight. Catherine Max (Season PPG: 13.73) gave Mersch a 63-61 lead, but Schieren answered with the decisive sequence. Sonia El Hammiri (Season PPG: 11.00), Weber and Marie Palma (Season PPG: 12.37) led an 11-4 run to 72-65, finished by Elisa Thill (Season PPG: 16.40) from long range. BSM still scored the last 4 points through Max and Schreiner, but Schieren held the edge.
