Magaly Meynadier’s team XCYDE Angels Nördlingen is out of the cup competition. The team lost in Heidelberg on Wednesday-evening, the final score was 94:65 for Heidelberg.
On their facebook page, the Angels posted a statement saying that the team is „not ready to play but will play“. The club was not happy with the decision by the league to play this cup game after they were in quarantine over the last days and only practiced a few times.
The commentators of the game said that the qualification for the „Final Four » in the cup competition is the biggest achievement in the history of the club from Heidelberg. For Nördlingen, this loss is clearly a big disappointment even though the circumstances for the team were difficult.
