On Wednesday-evening, a rescheduled game was played in the men’s LBBL between the Musel Pikes and Sparta.
Musel Pikes – Sparta 96:95
– Sparta played without injured professional player Dove
– Tom Welter made his return for the Musel Pikes after 3 months
– Sparta hit 7 threes in the first half and took a 52:46 lead after 20 minutes
– The guests led by 10+ points after the break but the Musel Pikes were able to fight back in the final minutes and took the lead (93:92) with 40 seconds remaining
– Jean Kox hit the big 3-point shot to put the Musel Pikes up by 1 point, Sparta’s Holland missed a potential game-winner on the other end
– Christmas led the Pikes with 35 points, Holland scored 30 points for the guests
– Sparta’s record drops to 11:6 while the Musel Pikes continue their strong run and improve to 6:13, they have won 5 out of 6 games in 2022
