National 2 returns with two key games on Saturday

The men’s National 2 will return to action on Saturday (January 6th) after a short winter break.

At this moment, the main question remains which 6 teams will enter the play-offs. Every team has only 4 or 5 remaining games in the regular season so that the decisions will fall over the next weeks. The standings alreay show a clear picture. The number 7 seed BC Mess only has small chances left to reach the 6th spot. For the play-off teams, every point will count at the end of the season so that the next weeks will be crucial, especially the head-to-head duells.

On Saturday, two main games will be played. League leader Black Frogs Schieren (7:3) will host league favorite US Heffingen (7:2). The guests have the best record in the league and could take the lead in the standings with a victory on the road. Mondorf has been on the rise over the last weeks and is looking to defend home court against Black Star Mersch. Both teams have a similar record (8:4 and 7:4) which makes this game extremely important. Mersch added Sam Ferreira (Mamer) to reinforce the team, he could become a majory piece in the fight for promotion for Black Star.
