Résidence is looking to catch T71 in the standings

Game day 18 is on the schedule this weekend in the men’s LBBL.

After a key victory on Wednesday, AB Contern can make if a perfect week with another victory on the road against the Musel Pikes. If Contern can win this game, a participation in the play-offs is very close. If we take a look at the standings, it gets clear that Sparta is the team that some teams will try to catch over the final 5 game days. However, the team from Bertrange is in a strong position, especially if it can add a victory against the Kordall Steelers on Sunday.

On top of the standings, Amicale will try to defend the first place, Etzella is sitting in Amicale’s neck and is waiting for a loss by the league’s top team. The team from Steinsel is in a strong position because they earn the tie breaker against Ettelbruck. Behind the top duo, a lot remains possible, the seedings for the places 3-7 will become interesting over the next weeks. At the moment, Dudelange and Esch have the « home court » place in the standings, but can not take their foot off the gas as Résidence, Arantia and Contern will try to jump up places in the standings. On Saturday, Résidence can tie in the standings with T71 with a victory on the road. Walfer clearly won the first duell by 21 points (92:71).
