Schieren shocks Racing / Zolwer jumps to second place

Game day 4 was played in the men’s National 2 this weekend.

The Black Frogs Schieren remain the biggest surprise of the season. After being down 4:23 after 7 minutes against Racing Luxembourg, the team of coach Nigel Tolentino turned the game around and won it 76:72 in the end. Joshua Reynolds led his team with 25 points, Thierry Schaaf (14) and Daniel Freichel (12) scored in double digits as the hosts won the final quarter 30:16 to complete a come back. Schieren remains undefeated (4:0) and is the sole leader of the league because Heffingen did not play this weekend.

Led by their two players Jeremiah Culver (39 points) and Marquavian Stephens (35), Black Star Mersch cruised to an easy 104:66 win on the road in Bascharage. Jordan Bowling made his first appearence for Bascharage, he scored 16 points. It was the first victory of the season for Mersch, both teams have a record of 1 win and 3 losses after this game.

Avanti Mondorf cruised past Telstar Hesper to earn its first victory of the season while Telstar has lost all 4 games so far. Mondorf led 65:22 at half-time and finally won the game 114:61.

AS Zolwer grabbed its third win of the season with a 89:83 win over BC Mess on Sunday. Tylik Evans scored 37 points to lead his team as Zolwer jumps to the second place in the standings. It was also the first loss of BC Mess this season.
