What is the Enovos Ladies Open?
The Enovos Ladies Open brings together all women’s Enovos League teams at a single venue for the opening round of the championship. All games count towards the regular season, with the entire first matchday taking place in one location. This gives supporters the opportunity to discover the teams, enjoy several games and experience the start of the season together.
Putting women’s basketball in the spotlight
Through this event, the FLBB aims to give women’s basketball greater visibility and provide its players with a dedicated stage to showcase their talent. Bringing all teams together highlights the quality and competitiveness of the women’s game, while encouraging fans, families and basketball enthusiasts to support it. The ambition is to establish the Enovos Ladies Open as a fixture in the basketball calendar and a celebration of women’s basketball in Luxembourg.
How is the host selected?
Following the inaugural edition at the neutral INS venue last year, the FLBB has introduced a new approach to selecting the host. Each year, a draw is held among the clubs whose women’s teams are scheduled to play at home on the opening matchday. Clubs that have already hosted the event are excluded from subsequent draws, giving different clubs the opportunity to welcome the teams and their supporters. Gréngewald was selected through this process and will therefore host the second edition of the Enovos Ladies Open.
