Sparta, Amicale and Arantia under pressure on Wednesday in game 2

The men’s quarter finals have started with plenty of surprising results last weekend. Only the top seed Etzella Ettelbruck was able to defend home court and will try to win the series on the road against the Kordall Steelers.

Sparta Bertrange, Amicale Steinsel and Arantia Larochette face pressure on the road to force a decisive game 3 on Saturday. Exciting playoff games await all basketball fans in Luxembourg on Wednesday evening.

Amicale Steinsel needs to find an offensive rhythm, the team only scored 23 points in the second half and 61 total in the 61:76 loss in game 1. Esch is known to be a strong defensive team and with another balanced team effort on offense, the door is open to enter the semi finals.

Sparta Bertrange’s run in game 1 came too late and now the team of coach of the year Karl Abou Khalil faces a must-win game on the road. Résidence has a chance to realize a major surprise in front of its home fans.

Arantia Larochette and T71 Dudelange fought until the final seconds in game 1 with the better end for the team from Dudelange. Now T71 has a chance to win the series after a challenging regular season. Cup winner Arantia clearly has the double title in its mind and wants to bring the series back to Larochette. The guests have to find a way to be better in the rebounding area, Dudelange dominated under the baskets in the first game.
