An amazing season in the women’s Total League 2020/21 came to an end in a decisive game 3 in Dudelange on Saturday-evening. In the end, T71 was too strong as a team for Résidence in this game and was able to celebrate the championship 2020/21 after winning the finals-series 2 games to 1.
T71 – Résidence 89:73
– All starters scored at least 2 points for T71 after 7 minutes while Logic and Cahill scored all 12 points for Résidence in the first quarter and T71 had a 22:12 lead after 10 minutes
– After 15 minutes, Fapranzi scored the first points by a JICL-player for the guests, T71 had a comfortable lead at the break (48:31)
– Résidence hit a quick 3 to start the second half and it looked like Résidence could start a run, but T71 was just too strong and did not allow the guests to come back into the game
– Leading by 23 points going into the 4th quarter, the game was nearly decided
– 5 T71-players scored in double digits
– Catherine Mreches had 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals
– Samantha Logic had 31 points and 19 rebounds for Résidence
– Michèle Orban (T71) will end her career with a title-trophy
– It is the 3rd title for the T71-women in their club history
