As one out of only 8 athletes, Thomas Grün has received the honor to become a member of the « wall of fame » of the Sportlycée.
„I feel honored to be part of that wall of fame. Of course, being around such successful athletes makes me proud. It’s nice when you invested a lot of work into something and it’s appreciated » says Grün who spent multiple years as a player basketball player in Trier (Germany) and returned to the LBBL to play for Basket Esch this season.
Grün also has a message for the next generation: „The first thing is that the wall of fame shows that if you have the right attitude to work, you can succeed in any sport, a professional career or a participation in the Olympic Games is possible if you are completely invested. I think that young athletes should not let anyone talk them out of their dreams and goals and that the path through the Sportlycee is certainly a big help for them to reach their goals and not neglect their school at the same time. »
