Our U18 women’s team is currently at training camp in Mersch.
There, they will complete three training sessions and play two friendly matches against the Irish national team.
The matches will take place on June 21st at 17:00 and on June 22nd at 15:00 at the EIMAB in Mersch.
These matches will be the final test before our U18 women’s team travels to Lithuania for the European Championships.
We won the first game, and the team showed a clear improvement compared to last weekend. The girls won three of four quarters. We lost our momentum briefly in the third quarter (too many turnovers against an aggressive defense), but we responded strongly in the final quarter (14-4). All players played. They want to step it up a notch tomorrow. (23:21 / 16:10 / 14:22 / 14:4)

Coaching staff:
„We started the game well – with a lot of energy and great focus. Strong defense and quick fast breaks allowed us to win the first half 35-23. Unfortunately, we lost our focus in the second half and were no longer able to consistently implement our game plan.
These two games were a very good test ahead of the upcoming European Championship.
They showed us what we still need to work on. The girls showed a very good attitude and demonstrated great team spirit.“
