U16 boys lose against the Czech Republic

On Sunday, the FLBB U16 boys played the third game of the European Championship (Division B). Against the Czech Republic, Luxembourg lost 77:80.

After a balanced first half, the opponent was able to build a lead in the third quarter and led by 10 points heading into the final period of the game. Luxembourg fought back and reduced the deficit to only 3 points with 20 seconds remaining.

Konan Oth and Sean Bugeja both scored 18 points to lead Luxembourg.

Coaching staff:
„The boys show great resilience in a narrow loss. After being tied at halftime we were forced to come from behind in the final quarter. Tremendous teamwork and effort was displayed but we ultimately lost by 3 points in the last minute.“

The fourth game of Luxembourg will be played on Tuesday at 19:30 against Ireland.
