U18 girls beat Ukraine to win 4th game overall

Our U18 girls have won another game at the European Championship (Division B) on Saturday. The FLBB squad was able to beat Ukraine 73:67. It was the fourth win of the tournament in 6 games for Luxembourg, the team will compete for the 9th place on Sunday.

Against Ukraine, Faith Ehi Etute led the team once again with a double double of 21 points and 18 rebounds, she added 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks. Kyra Coulon scored 17 points and added 6 assists while Laetitia Schumacher had 19 points and 6 assists.

„We were confident that we could get this win against Ukraine but we knew that it was going to be tough.

We had some ups and downs and after a balanced first half the score was 37:34 in our favor.

In the second half we had some foultrouble but we managed to win the third quarter 17:15 and the fourth quarter 19:18 with a great fighting spirit.

After 4 wins and 2 losses we will play for the 9th place tomorrow morning to finish a great tournament.“
