U18 ladies beat Austria and finish group in first place

On Wednesday, our U18 girls played the third game of the European Championship (Division B), it was the last game of the group phase. The FLBB squad was able to beat Austria 73:64 and with this victory, Luxembourg finishes the group first and qualified for the quarter finals (top 8 teams).
Etute and Hamalainen helped Luxembourg take a quick 17:4 lead to start the game. However, Austria reacted and had a 46:41 lead at the break. In a close game, Luxembourg was able to build the decisive lead in the final minutes of the game and finally won this important match.

Isa Hamlainen led Luxembourg with 28 points, Ehi Etute added a big double double (19 points, 22 rebounds) to help the FLBB squad win the group. Congratulations to our ladies and the staff!
