Croatia was on fire to start the game, they hit outside shot after outside shot (5/5) and led 34:24 after the first 10 minutes. Luxembourg played well on offense and as many as 7 players scored points in the first half, but the FLBB squad could not stop the opponent from scoring and Luxembourg trailed 40:53 at the break. Luxembourg kept fighting but was not able to reduce the deficit in the second half, Croatia hit shots from outside and scored inside which allowed the opponent to extend their lead.

Coaching staff:
„We faced the best team in the competition today. They were more physical and more athletic than our team. We fought with a lot of energy but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. We couldn’t stop their quick transitions and they controlled also the inside game.
Anyhow we are really proud of the girls. Silver medal it’s a big achievement! They pushed themselves over the limits and anybody’s expectations! »
