– Victor Iwuakor left the game late in the second quarter with a foot injury and did not return
– Yannick Verbeelen scored 26 points, Jarvis Williams had 26 as well to lead the hosts
– Sparta led 21:7 after the first quarter, but T71 reacted with a strong second quarter and led 37:34 at the break, the game was decided in an intense final quarter
– The second game of the series will be played in Dudelange on Wednesday

– Etzella leads the best-of-3 series 1:0
– Etzella hit 8 threes in the first half and jumped out to an 46:32 lead
– Philippe Gutenkauf scored 25 points to lead the hosts
– The second game of the series will be played in Steinsel on Thursday
