Women’s cup: T71, Amicale, Résidence and Basket Esch advance

The 1/4 finals in the LaLux Ladies Cup competition are being played on Wednesday and Thursday. 3 out of 4 games were played on Wednesday-evening.

Gréngewald – T71 53:68
– In a low scoring first quarter, the hosts led 9:6 after 10 minutes
– T71 created a small lead before half-time with a run in the final 2 minutes of the first half and led 28:18 at the break
– Gréngewald scored 21 points in the third quarter and came back into the game but T71 had the better finish in the final minutes
– Laina Snyder led her team with 25 points

Résidence – Contern 82:55
– 4 Résidence-players scored 13+ points, Cahill led her team with 20 points
– Résidence made 15/30 shots from behind the 3-point-line

Musel Pikes – Amicale 59:71
– Hodgins had a big game for Amicale (23 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists)
– National team player Charlie Bidinger missed the game for the Musel Pikes, Cathy Schmit had to leave the game with 7 minutes remaining (injury)

On Thursday, Basket Esch was able to beat Black Star from the National 2 93:66.
