Contern beats the Musel Pikes

While the men’s LBBL is entering game day 9 this weekend, the women’s league returns after a short break for game day 7.

Only 4 games are scheduled in the men’s league. On Saturday, Sparta (2:6) will have the chance to tie with Arantia (3:5) in the standings with a victory at home. Co-leader Amicale (7:1) hosts the Musel Pikes (2:6) in a game where the hosts are looking to take the leasd in the standings with Résidence not playign this weekend.

Etzella and T71 will meet on Sunday, both teams have the same record (5:3). The Kordall Steelers (2:6) could stay in a decent position in the play-off race with a victory over Gréngewald (1:7) while the guests could tie with the opponent with a victory on the road.

In the women’s LBBL, one game was played on Friday evening between Contern and the Musel Pikes.

On Saturday, the top game between Amicale (4:1) and Gréngewald (5:0) will be played in Steinsel as the hosts try to hand the « Greens » their first loss of the season. League leader Sparta (5:1) will be in action on the road in Wiltz (2:3) while T71 (4:1) will play against the winless team Zolwer (0:6) on Sunday.

– Contern improves its record to a balanced 3:3 record while the Musel Pikes have a 1:5 record after this loss.
– Francesca Wurtz led Contern with 22, Charlie Bidinger (14) and Lynn Kauffmann (11) scored in double digits as well
