Zolwer makes play-offs, Black Star in a desperate situation

In the Nationale 2, 3 out of 4 teams that will compete for 2 spots in the Total League next season are known!

After leader Résidence Walfer and Telstar Hesper, AS Zolwer has booked its ticket for the “play-offs“ that will include the bottom 4 teams of the Total League and the 4 best teams of the Nationale 2.

BBC Gréngewald is in a good situation with a one-point-advantage over both opponents (Black Star and Kordall), but faces leader Résidence on Sunday! Black Star’s situation is very tricky while Kordall also needs help from opponents.

Overview of the situation:
1) If Gréngewald wins its game on Sunday against leader Résidence, they are qualified.
2) Kordall needs a win and losses by Gréngewald and Black Star at the same time to qualify. Kordall earns the tie-breaker against Gréngewald.
3) If Gréngewald loses its game and both opponents (Black Star and Kordall) win, Black Star makes the play-offs!

Why?
In this scenario (3) , the 3 teams (Gréngewald, Black Star, Kordall) would be tied in points after 18 games. Then, a new standing would be made only with the 6 games between these 3 teams over the season … and in this scenario, Black Star would make the play-offs! Black Star has beaten Kordall twice and split games with Gréngewald which gives them 3 wins out of 4 games in this group, Gréngewald has 2 wins, Kordall only 1.

This makes the situation very special for Black Star because the club needs one opponent to win (Kordall) and another opponent to lose (Gréngewald) at the same time, a very rare scenario.
