The National 2 play-offs continued with game day 7 (out of 10).
On Friday evening, Avanti Mondorf was able to beat Gréngewald Hueschtert 103:76. With this victory, Mondorf reduces the deficit towards the « Greens » to only one point. Mondorf has won 6 out of 7 games in the play-offs and is now back in the mix for the promotion spots, mainly the relegation spot (3rd place) while Gréngewald has struggled over the last weeks and lost its good position to start the play-offs. Khalil Dawkins scored 38 points for the hosts.
On Saturday, AS Zolwer won the top game against Heffingen on the road (83:74) and is about to be promoted. The team now has a 3-point lead over Gréngewald Hueschtert with 3 games remaining and could only drop to 3rd in a highly unlikely scenario. Despite the loss, Heffingen remains in a strong position in the promotion race. Christian Parker (32 points) and Felix Kloman (28) combined for 60 points.
The Black Frogs Schieren miss an opportunity to tie with Gréngewald with a 61:93 loss against Black Star Mersch. Donte Pope scored a game-high 36 points. During the week, Schieren’s head coach Nigel Tolentino was announced new head coach in Contern next season
