2 decisive game 3’s were played in the men’s LBBL quarter finals of the play-offs on Sunday.
Basket Esch – Résidence Walfer 82:69
– Basket Esch wins the series 2:1 and advances to the semi finals against T71
– Esch created a small lead with a run before half-time and led 38:32 after 20 minutes
– Résidence led 56:52 with 8 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter but Basket Esch went on a 15:0 run to take control of the game (69:56)
– Jordan Hicks (31 points) and Clancy Rugg (29) led the hosts, Pit Biever added 12 including big shots in the final quarter
– Basket Esch was perfect from the free-throw line (23/23!)
Etzella Ettelbruck – Arantia Larochette 102:103
– Arantia wins the series 2:1 and advances to the semi finals against Amicale Steinsel
– Arantia led 55:42 at the break but Etzella cut the lead in the second half so that the score was close (77:79) with 8 minutes remaining
– Jamison Overton scored 45 points to lead the guests
– Arantia is the only worse ranked team that qualified for the semi finals this season in the women’s and men’s LBBL
Amicale, T71, Esch and Arantia have reached the semi finals.
