Our women’s national team will be in action to close the 2025 Eurobasket Qualifiers on Thursday and Sunday. We sum up what you need to know before the games.
How to qualify?
12 spots are available in the qualifiers. Eight competitive groups participate, the 8 group winners (groups A – H) and the four best second placed teams qualify for FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2025. All 4 teams from group I (the hosts of the European Championship 2025) are already qualified for the tournament.
The situation in our group H:
–> Luxembourg, Montenegro and Switzerland have chances to qualify
–> Luxembourg qualifies as the number one seed with 2 victories
–> Luxembourg qualifies as the number one seed with a victory over Montenegro if Switzerland does not win both games (Switzerland earns the direct comparison against Luxembourg)
–> Luxembourg could also qualify through a second place in the group, but that depends on the results in other groups, a qualification on Thursday after the game against Bosnia is not possible. Stay tuned to our website to get the latest news after Thursday’s game.
–> A 3-team tie (Luxembourg/Montenegro/Switzerland) is also a possible scenario after 6 games
The standings:
1. Luxembourg (4 games / 7 points)
2. Montenegro (4 games / 7 points)
3. Switzerland (4 games, 6 points)
4. Bosnia (4 games / 4 points)
