Game day 8 in the LBBL

The 8th game day is scheduled in the women’s and men’s LBBL this Saturday and Sunday.

After losing their first game of the season last weekend, T71 Dudelange (6:1) is challenged on the road in Larochette. Arantia (2:5) wants to end a 5-game losing streak at home.
Basket Esch (5:2) was able to grab a big road win in Dudelange last weeekend. This Saturday,the team of coach Franck Mériguet faces newcomer Gréngewald Hueschtert. The guests have had a succesful start into the season with 3 wins out of 7 games.
Champion Amicale Steinsel (5:2) enters the game against US Heffingen (1:6) as the favorite. The guests were the first LBBL team to make a change at the coaching position and are now coached by Predrag Lukic.
Sparta Bertrange (3:4) has added former player Lavone Holland as the newspaper Tageblatt reported first. The team of coach Chris Wulff faces a difficult challenge against Résidence Walfer (6:1).
The winless team AS Zolwer has added a new professional player in Silver Tariq as a reaction to its poor start (0:7). A very important game is scheduled against AB Contern (3:4) this Sunday.
Etzella Ettelbruck (6:1) wants to continue its impressive start into the season at home against the Musel Pikes (2:5). Antunio Bivins, who played two games for National 2 team BC Mess over the last days, could make his debut for the guests this weekend.

In the women’s LBBL, Gréngewald Hueschtert (4:1) hosts Basket Esch (2:4), it is the second game for the « Greens » this week after their EuroCup game on Wednesday ( –> Gréngewald loses 52:76 against Braine ). The derby between Résidence Walfer (5:3) and Amicale Steinsel (4:3) should become a thrilling game to watch.
After a 1:6 start into the season, Les Sangliers Wiltz host Sparta Bertrange (4:3) as the team from Bertrange is looking to react after 2 losses on last week’s double gameday.
AB Contern (5:1) has been a positive surprise this season and should be able to further improve its record against the winless team AS Zolwer (0:7). The promoted team is losing its games by an average of nearly 40 points so far.
One game is scheduled for Sunday as T71 Dudelange (6:0) hosts Etzella Ettelbruck (3:4). After a very challenging game on Thursday in the EuroCup ( –> T71 loses 84:94 against Fribourg ), the women from Dudelange only had 2 days to rest before the next game.
