LBBL game day starts on Friday

This weekend, the 14th game day is scheduled in the men’s LBBL, it is the last one before the Christmas break. The women’s LBBL will have 2 more game days as the league is in action also next week (Tuesday/Wednesday).

In the men’s league, one game is scheduled for Friday evening as the last placed Heffingen (1:12 record) hosts T71, the guests have lost 3 straight games and will look to end the year 2022 on a good note while Heffingen needs every point for their fight against relegation.
A key game will be played in Contern between the hosts and the Musel Pikes, both teams have a 5:8 record, the winner of this game will be in a good position in the play-off race and the direct comparison is also very important, Contern won the first meeting by 6 points. League leaders Etzella and Amicale both play on the road on Sunday as they will try to stay on top of the standings during the winter break.

In the women’s league,10 teams are in action this weekend. Current league leader Sparta hosts Basket Esch on Sunday while the only unbeaten team T71 Dudelange does not play this weekend.

Note: The semi finals of the cup competition will be drawn on December 17th before the men’s game Gréngewald Hueschtert – Résidence Walfer. The semi finals will be played on Saturday, January 28th and Sunday, January 29th.
