Luxembourg beats Bosnia-Herzegovina after a strong performance

On Sunday afternoon, our women’s national team played the second game of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. At the Coque in Kirchberg, Luxembourg played against Bosnia and Herzegovina. In front of 800 spectators, our national team showed an amazing performance and came up with a 77:64 victory.

Starting 5: Mreches, Meynadier, Skrijelj, Laurie Irthum, Etute

Luembourg had a strong start and took a 10-point lead just minutes into the game. Ehis Etute and Magaly Meynadier helped the FLBB squad grab a 12-point lead after 10 minutes. Thanks a strong collective effort, Luxembourg took 47:34 lead into the half-time break!

The FLBB ladies continued to control the game after the break and took a 12-point lead into the fourth quarter (59:47). Skrijelj and her teammates showed great teamplays and created open shot opportunities. Luxembourg extended the lead to 15 points early in the 4th quarter. In the end, Luxembourg was able to celebrate a sensational victory in front of its home crowd. Congratulations to the team and staff!

At half-time, our U18 ladies were honored for their amazing performances at the European Championship (Division B) this summer when they finished in second place.
