On Wednesday evening, Luxembourg’s Senior women’s national team played the fourth game of the FIBA 2027 Eurobasket Qualifiers.
At the Coque in Kirchberg, in front of 850 spectators, Luxembourg was able to beat Ireland 85:73 and adavance to the second round of the qualifiers after only 4 game days in group A because group leader Israel won its game at the same time.
The FLBB squad jumped out to a strong start. Behind Isi Etute and Anne Simon, Luxembourg quickly built a lead and went into halftime with a 45:33 advantage. Luxembourg managed to keep a 10-point lead throughout the third quarter and never let Ireland come close.
Isi Etute (27 points, 19 rebounds) and Anne Simon (26 points) led Luxembourg to a third victory in the qualification.
