On Tuesday afternoon, the international basketball federation FIBA drew the groups for the second round of the Eurobasket 2027 qualifiers.
Luxembourg was drawn in group M and will face France, Great Britain and Ukraine.

France is second in the FIBA world ranking and the strongest team in the draw.
Women’s head coach Patrick Unger: „We have been drawn into a very tough group, there is no doubt about it. We are looking forward to the opportunity because we have deserved this challenge after our performances. We will try to put together the best possible roster for the window in November and we hope that as many people as possible will come to support us at the gym. Our goal is to face the best possible competition and that is what we will get in this qualification. »
The 6 games will be played in two windows, the first one in November 2026 and the second one in February 2027. A total of 24 teams participate in the qualifiers, with the top two teams of each group advancing to FIBA Eurobasket 2027, the tournament will be played in Belgium, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden. The 4 hosts are already qualified for the event and play in a seperate group.
