Black Star Mersch controlled this W-Nationale 2 game from start to finish and completed a season sweep of AB Contern B after the earlier 71-34 away win. Lance Legister's team, now on a 3-game winning streak, moved up one place to 2nd, while Contern stayed 6th and slipped to a third straight defeat.

The first key moment came immediately. Tessy Margue picked up two fouls in a row in the opening minutes, and BSM used that sequence to go 5-0 up.
