The 1/4 finals of the men’s Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg were on the schedule on Wednesday and Thursday.
Black Frogs Schieren (+10) – Sparta Bertrange 80:105
– Sparta started strong and took the lead just 3 minutes into the game
– Schieren was able to regain the lead for some stretches but could not keep the opponent’s rhythm for the entire game
– Victor Iwuakor, Jarvis Williams, Max Logelin and Yannick Verbeelen scored in double digits for the guests
AS Zolwer (+10) – Amicale Steinsel 84:103
– Zolwer extended the 10-point bonus to 22 points early in the game
– Amicale stayed calm despite foul-troubles by Ahston Sherrel, the guests took the lead with the last shot of the first half
– Steinsel ran away with the lead with a 29:0 (!) run within just more than 5 minutes to start the third quarter, it was the decision in this game
– Alex Laurent led all scorers with 27 points on a very efficient shooting performance, Steinsel hit 15 threes as a team
Etzella Ettelbruck – T71 Dudelange 89:81
– Tom Schumacher coached T71 as an interim coach
– Philippe Gutenkauf hit a clutch triple late in the game to give his team a 6-point lead (video)
– T71 was cold from the field (36%) despite many second chance opportunities thanks to Denell Stehpens’ 11 offensive rebounds (20 total)
– Adrian Delph led Etzella with 31 points
Mambra Mamer – Arantia Larochette 78:102
– Rashon Johnson had to leave in the second quarter with an injury
– Arantia had a 10-point lead at the break and extended the lead early in the fourth quarter to grab a convincing victory in the end
– Kevon Godwin led Arantia with 24 points
