Game day 1 of the National 2 play-offs is on the schedule from Friday until Sunday.
On Friday evening, Avanti Mondorf was able to beat first seed Heffingen at the buzzer (82:81) on a shot by Joseph Reuter, take a look at the video posted by the club on social media. Reuter led Mondorf with 34 points and 14 rebounds as the home team knocked down 12 threes to come up with the surprising victory to start the play-offs.
With this victory, Mondorf improves to a 12:9 record while Heffingen’s record drops to 17:4 which is still a league best but Gréngewald has a chance to tie with a victory on Saturday.
