The decisive time has started

A full game day is scheduled in the women’s LBBL this weekend.

T71 Dudelange (16:1 record) jumped to the top of the league standings on Wednesday and the team has a good chance of finishing the regular season as the number one seed, they have one opponent who is having his eyes on the first place as well with Gréngewald Hueschtert (16:2).

The Musel Pikes (6:12), Basket Esch (6:11) and Etzella Ettelbruck (5:12) will fight for the final 2 places in the play-offs. While the Pikes can rest this weekend and watch their opponents, Esch will host Gréngewald and Etzella will host T71 which makes it unlikely for both teams to grab a victory this weekend. The team that misses the play-offs will play a difficult play-down modus that will include 5 teams (3 LBBL, 2 National 2) and at least one LBBL team will relegate to the second league.

Sparta is looking to clinch the 3rd spot and a home win against Wiltz is a big step in that direction while Contern needs to put pressure on Sparta with a win in Zolwer on Sunday.

The program:
Saturday:
18:30 Amicale Steinsel – Résidence Walfer
18:30 Sparta Bertrange – Les Sangliers Wiltz

Sunday:
15:15 Etzella Ettelbruck – T71 Dudelange
15:30 AS Zolwer – AB Contern
16:30 Basket Esch – Gréngewald Hueschtert
